Bleh -- 9:39 pm CST, Update by The Master
Welp, figgered I'd throw some stuff up here, since the news is slower than a dead sloth.- Potty training a child is a RIOT. I highly recommend it.
- Internet Explorer is really stable. And I'm Ed McMahon.
- I've been playing with this really sweet tool from the makers of Webdog called Bearkey (no DIRECT affiliation, yadda yadda--we do use their news/.plan trackers on this site). This bad boy delivers news right to your PC via a little icon thingy in your task tray--and it's FREE (except for signing up for it, of course). Sweet. I've been using it at work and it seems to be helping me to cut some of my compulsive refresh disorder on CNN and Blues :-). Man, I feel like I'm pulling a Penny Arcade with all this linkage...
Pondering the Imponderable -- 9:31 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
If the news gets any slower, I'll have to throw myself in front of a camel. At any rate, I soon will have my computer upgrade. Iwill XP333, 256M PC2100, and an Athlon XP 1800+. My lights may very well dim when I crank that bad-boy up. It'll be quite a jump, going from a 400MHz processor with a 66Mhz bus to a 1.53Ghz processor with a 266Mhz bus. Maybe I'll actually be able to use more than one bot in Q3TA now!
The Master comments: Well, you could always blow the snow again. Course, that would require SNOW. . .

CDMA Treo In the Works? -- 7:17 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
The Dallas-Fort Worth PUG wrote up a preliminary review of Handspring's new Treo communicator. The most interesting part of it was this final paragraph:What's in store for the Treo in the future? First, you can expect a CDMA version of the Treo. Exactly when to expect one is very unclear but Handspring does intend to pursue the CDMA market with this device. The manufacturing of a CDMA version would most likely depend on how well the GSM model does and of course the interest by carriers such as SpringPCS [sic] and Verizon. That'd be killer, since it's much easier to find CDMA towers in the U.S. Of course, if it were still a single band phone (no analog) it wouldn't be that useful in this neck of the woods. For now, I'm thrilled with my Visor Deluxe/Motorola StarTAC ST7868W combo. I've got to get a review going on that.
In the "stupid phone tricks" category, my phone now says "Go Wings!" instead of "Ready."
