New Licq Experiment

I downloaded the new daily build of Licq tonight to see if I could get KDE3 support to work (I like being able to dock to the taskbar). Licq is an open-source ICQ clone for Linux. I compiled it and everything seems to be working great so far! If you need ICQ functionality in Linux and don't want to mess with Java, I highly recommend Licq.

My beloved Red Wings just dispatched the Nordilanche 2-0 in a stellar performance. They need one more in Detroit on Friday to go to the Stanley Cup Finals against the mighty (?) Carolina Hurricanes.

The third part of the id Software DOOM III interview is online. This one includes interviews with Graeme Devine (sound) and Tim Willits (lead designer). They discuss the new sound system in D3, and some commentary on how the new game is being put together and storyboarded.
