What a Game!

Igor Larionov, 41 years young, ended the triple-overtime thriller in Carolina, giving the Red Wings a 3-2 victory. The Wings now hold a 2-1 lead in the series. The next game in Monday (tomorrow already, even Central time) in Raleigh. Of course now I'm not going to be able to get to sleep.

To top things off, Lennox Lewis knocked out Mike Tyson in the eighth round of their fight tonight. Hopefully this will allow Mike to go away. Far away. Forever.

Finally, Episode II

At long last my wife and I got to see Star Wars: Episode II yesterday. While the movie was good and all, I must confess I didn't leave with that "wow!" feeling that I did for any of the previous ones. I think the main problem was that there were very few surprises in it for me. I knew too much about the movie before I saw it. My favorite moment was when Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson) busted out a can of Jedi wh00p-a$$ and relieved a well-known character of his head. THAT was cool. I guess I'll have to see it again so I can just watch it for what it is, instead of watching to see if what I had read is true.
