Hail to the Victors! -- 4:30 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

After botching two field goals earlier in the game (and another kicker missing a third), Michigan's Philip Brabbs hit a 44 yarder to give the Wolverines a 31-29 victory over the Washington Huskies. Man, I love football. This Thursday night the NFL season fires up too! At last I can drive more baseball off SportsCenter.

On a related note, while I'm happy that MLB and the Union worked out an agreement without a strike, all this means is that I have to endure another month and a half of losing Tigers baseball. This makes their ninth straight losing season, five years longer than ever in their history. Yikes.

UT2K3 Linux Client in the Works -- 10:08 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Linux Games snagged a line out of a recent chat log with Epic's Mark Rein indicating that there will be a Linux client for Unreal Tournament 2003. This was hinted at before, but now it seems like it is a done deal. Sweet!

Netscape 7.0 Released -- 10:27 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Netscape has released version 7.0 of their web browser, based on Mozilla 1.0.1. You can download it here. Personally, I prefer using Mozilla directly because it doesn't give all the extra garbage the Netscape slaps along with their browsers. However, it does give AOL and Netscape Mail users the ability to access their mail directly, which is handy if you use either of those services. If you always wanted to try Mozilla but prefer a released geared more for end-users, check out Netscape 7. Thanks MozillaZine.

UT2K3 System Specs -- 9:20 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Nothing has been released yet, but Unreality got their hands on the system requirements for Unreal Tournament 2003. The game will take up a whopping 3G of disk space and will require at least a 733 Mhz processor, 1Ghz or greater recommended. Eeep! Looks like it will really be able to test my swank new(ish) system!
