DOOM3 Preview

CGW got to make a trip to id Software to take a look at DOOM3. There are some very minor spoilers about plot line involved, but they are marked if you don't want to know. I can't wait until this bad-boy is out. Thanks Blue's News.

Deus Ex: Invisible War Review

That's right kids, The Master has finally put up some fresh content. In a first, it's a review! Check out my Deus Ex: Invisible War review. While I gave it a slightly lowered 7 out of 10, I expect Ion Storm to improve this rating in the near future with patch releases. Enjoy!

Linux 2.4.24 Fixes Exploit

Linux kernel 2.4.24 has been released to fix a memory management problem that could lead to a local root exploit. Here's the information on the problem. You can download 2.4.24 in full or patch from I compiled it earlier this afternoon. I'm getting pretty good at it, actually :) Thanks Slashdot.

Spirit Lands!

NASA's latest Mars rover, the Spirit, has successfully landed on Mars and has begun transmitting pictures back to Earth. You can see it all on NASA's Mars Rover page. After a couple of losses, this is great news. Hopefully we can learn a lot more about the red planet.
