IBM Moves for Partial Summary Judgment

IBM has officially thrown down the gauntlet against SCO. Groklaw got word of their motion for partial summary judgment. Their basic argument is that they didn't do what SCO is claiming, but even if they did, they had the contractual right to do so. I will be very interested to see how both the judge and SCO respond to this.

UT2K4: Editor's Edition Preview

IGN slapped together a quick preview of Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Edition which will go on sale this fall. Most interesting is the news of the new vehicles that will be added to Onslaught maps. I'm especially interested in the two-man fighter. Current owners of UT2K4 will be able to download all the new content for free. Thanks Beyond Unreal.

Carmack for Dummies

Gamespy posted a summary of John Carmack's keynote at QuakeCon, "translated" for us non-technical types. He talks about improvements he hopes to make to the DOOM3 engine and where he's going from here.

The Master comments: Is it sick that I'm looking forward to the uber-technical version?

A.T. Hun comments: Your wish is my command! Here is the unexpurgated version in MP3 format.
