Bleh

Eeyore and I went out today to ring the bells at the Salvation Army kettles. First time I've ever done this, and I really enjoyed it. We got a pretty good donation rate too, about 50%, so I'm pretty pleased about that.

A.T. Hun comments: That's only because you look so pitiful, TM. Personally, I usually give all my money to the Salvation Air Force *rimshot*

In other news, you know you've truly earned the ire of a computing community when the crackers deface your site with a simple banner, that matches the rest of your site design, that says "We own all your code - give us all your money". Wow. Most crackers couldn't be bothered to go through that much work.

NFL Week #12 So Far

With two games left to go, Eeyore and I give the impression that we know what we're talking about with these picks (at last). We will end this weekend tied. Right now we are both 11-3. Hooray for us!

Mozilla 1.7.5 Next Month

Mozillazine is reporting the Mozilla 1.7.5 will be released in December. This will bring Mozilla's version of the Gecko renderer up to speed with Firefox 1.0. At that point, I'll probably switch back to Mozilla. Right now, Firefox and Thunderbird aren't integrated well enough in Linux for my liking. There are some thunky workarounds, but that involved dealing with Gnome which adds its own level of flakiness.
