Death by Tech Support

As I already suspected: hardware tech support truly sucks. And if hardware tech support doesn't get your goat, I recommend trying to get any technical support out of Symantec sometime. icculus .plan Update

Ryan "icculus" Gordon updated his .plan again (scroll to the bottom), talking about some of the things he was able to get running on Intel-based Macs with relatively little effort. It seems that there were as many changes that needed to be made because of gcc4 as there was due to the switch in architecture. Of course, developing for Linux gave him a leg up there.

The Master comments: What I like about Icculus is that he is a programmer's programmer. He doesn't screw around with a lot of superfluous BS, getting right to the point. Excellent info in this .plan update.
