DOOM Movie Trailer -- 2:59 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

The trailer for the DOOM movie is available on Apple's website. It'll be interesting to see what the reviews are like. I'll probably see it when it's out on DVD, unless it turns out to be halfway decent. Obviously, I'm not holding my breath. Thanks Evil Avatar.

I was doing some housekeeping stuff on the Haus server box today. After doing the requisite log cleanup, etc, I reviewed the mail logs for the last couple of hours. All I can say for sure is that the spammers must REALLY love us, because I can see hundreds of their connections being denied per minute on our server. Good grief. And I thought I got a ton of spam now. I can't imagine what it would be like if I turned the filters off.

Q3A GPL Release Imminent -- 6:44 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Shacknews reported from QuakeCon that id's John Carmack planned to release the Quake III Arena source code under the GPL. I give Carmack a lot of credit for helping aspiring programmers by releasing his older engines as open source.
