NFL Week #1 Early -- 12:06 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Yessir, it's that time of year! Time for Eeyore and my fearless NFL prognostication. The schedule kicks off tonight pitting the defending champs against the Raiders. My pick? Patriots.
The Master comments: Eeyore picked the same, so the early game starts as a tie. Game on :-)

RSS Feed -- 10:08 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
The Master has done some of his haX0ring magic and put together an RSS feed for The Haus. You will note that the link is now in the sidebar under "News". Check it out and let us know what you think. RSS feeds allow you to monitor for updates on your favorite websites. I've been using the Sage extension for Firefox and Akregator in KDE (it's now a part of the official kdepim module).
NWN2 Mac/Linux Support -- 12:07 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Attention Linux and Mac Neverwinter Nights fans! Obsidian wants to know what the demand is for a Linux or Mac client for Neverwinter Nights 2. Right now, only a Win32 client with a DirectX renderer is planned. According to this post on the NWN2 forums, the developers want you to post in this thread if you want such a client. What are you waiting for? Get over there!
Hurricane Help Rebuffed -- 11:28 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
I saw this article in the Green Bay Press-Gazette today. Four busses were planned to go down to New Orleans to bring refugees back to the Green Bay area, give them a place to stay, and give them a job. In the end, only two busses ended up going and both are returning empty. No one wanted to go. I can understand being concerned about going across the country and differences in climate and such, but when you are homeless and starving wouldn't you want to do something about that?
Mt. Rainier in Linux Update -- 11:22 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
I updated my HOWTO on enabling Mt. Rainier support in Linux after a correction I just received via email today from a loyal reader. The cdmrw tool should now compile properly. That really was frustrating me because I couldn't get it to work no matter what. Of course, my new DVD burner doesn't support Mt. Rainier, so there you go.
