Pondering the Imponderable -- 11:15 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
I managed to swing by the local Best Buy yesterday so that I could get a Palm TX in my grubby little hands. The dimensions are very similar to my Tungsten E--the TX is just a bit taller and a hair thicker. The screen looked very nice. I could see using the extra real estate for a lot of different things. So many places now have free WiFi, having it built in to the TX is a bonus. Another small, but significant feature is that it has a better calculator than my Tungsten E had. It is more like the "Parens" calculator that came with my Visor (with financial functions, etc.). That doesn't sound like much, but I use that calculator all the time. Once I get some bills paid off, I think I'm going to be upgrading.
NFL Week #5 Finally Final -- 9:41 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
At long last, here are the results of last week's NFL picks. In a word, blech. I was 7-7 while Eeyore was 8-6. Year-to-date we are now tied at 43-31 (.581). While that still keeps us ahead of all but two of the ESPN NFL experts, it is worth noting that if we had done nothing other than pick the home team for every game, we would be 46-28. Maybe sometimes we just out-clever ourselves.

New Steam -- 6:13 pm CST, Update by The Master
I see that Valve has released a new version of Steam today. This is a very polished looking interface, but I really wonder if all the pretty is really necessary for what is really a very fancy downloader/launcher. Or maybe it's just me.
