Bleh: 65G WOOT!

I just finished setting up my new 65 gallon aquarium. I've always had smaller aquariums. My first was a 10g, then I upgraded through a 15g and a 29g. This is AWESOME. Thankfully Eeyore signed up for the whole thing too, so everyone is happy. Adding fish in a few weeks will make the cool complete :-)

Update 9:30am Sunday: The fish have been moved, and we're picking up a few more to fill things out while we wait for the ammonia cycle that we're hoping to avoid. Things are looking SWEET!

More on GPL v3 from Torvalds

Linus Torvalds made several more posts to the Linux Kernel Mailing List, further explaining the problems that he has with the forthcoming GPL v3. Once again, more good stuff. Here's a snip:

Notice how the current GPLv3 draft pretty clearly says that Red Hat would have to distribute their private keys so that anybody sign their own versions of the modules they recompile, in order to re-create their own versions of the signed binaries that Red Hat creates. That's INSANE.

Btw, what about signed RPM archives? How well do you think a secure auto-updater would work if it cannot trust digital signatures?

I think that Stallman and co. have their hearts in the right place by wanting to fight against DRM. Torvalds (and I too for that matter) isn't so sure it's the best way to go about it. Thanks Slashdot.

Sin Episodes Blog

Shawn Ketcherside, the lead game designer on SiN Episodes, updated his blog with some interesting info on the AI system they are using for enemies in Sin Episodes. Good stuff.
