PS3 Region-Free -- 12:16 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Somewhat surprisingly, Sony has announced that the PS3 will be region-free for games. Cool (and smart) move by Sony. We'll see how the console works around the whole PAL-vs.-NTSC problem though. Thanks Slashdot.

Star Command for PalmOS -- 10:07 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

If you've ever played the classic Star Trek game on the PC or Mac, you'll want to head over to mobileFunForge and check out Star Command. Be sure to also check their downloads page for the latest version. Unfortunately, it seems that work on the game has stopped. Maybe the news blurb on PalmInfoCenter will spur development onward. I wasted a lot of time on this back in the day . . .

Star Wars TV in 2008 -- 12:22 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

George Lucas told the BBC that the Star Wars TV series would begin filming in 2008 and be aired the same year. Rick McCallum adds that the series will be at least 100 episodes long. Are we there yet? Thanks Slashdot.
