Sin Episodes 1 Released for Preload -- 7:58 pm CST, Update by The Master

According to Steampowered, SiN Episode 1: Emergence Pre-Loading Now. In addition when you buy it, you also get access to the original Sin 1 game, and the multiplayer component. If I can ever actually get a download started ("The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request" -- I note they weren't too busy to take my money), I am looking forward to firing up Sin 1 again.

Update: The SiN Episodes website has been updated to reflect their release status and some new content was added.

D'oh! A Deer -- 2:57 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Yesterday a doe met her untimely demise when she decided to sprint in front of my car. I've got to wait until tomorrow to see if my insurance will cover the whole thing. The damage doesn't look like much, but it still comes to $1,138. The Star Wars fans out there will note some irony in that amount. The problem is that while my car is quite valuable to me, it isn't to most anyone else. If there would have been frame or mechanical damage, I'm sure they would have totalled it. With van payments, I can't exactly afford to look into another car.

The Master comments: We looked into a van purchase late last year. Came >this< close to buying one, but they wouldn't give us good financing compared to our car. Those things are insanely expensive.
