Revolution Is Now Wii -- 4:52 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Well, Nintendo has dropped the Revolution prototype name and will call their new console "Wii", pronounced like "we" and, unfortunately also like "wee." The link explains that logic behind the name change. I suppose the Nintendo rep does have a point. If we got used to Google and Yahoo, we probably can get used to just about anything.

As an aside, the name reminds me of a line in the Scorpions' tune "Bad Boys Running Wild" that ends "you better get out of their way" except with Klaus Meine's German accent it sounds like "you better get out of their wee." I always thought that if you had to be reminded to get out of somebody's wee, there's no hope for you.
