Half-Life 2:Episode 1 Gold -- 3:24 pm CST, Update by The Master

Valve has announced that Half-Life 2: Episode One has gone gold, and will make it's June 1 release date. I've already bought mine, and am looking forward to a fresh game in June.

My Favorite Holiday -- 8:37 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Today is my favorite unusual holiday, the 388th anniversary of the Defenestration of Prague. Any time that you can celebrate people being thrown out a window, it's all good. Plus it makes it sound like they threw every last person (and, indeed, the city itself) out the window. If that doesn't sound like a Monty Python sketch, I don't know what does. Blame my high-quality liberal arts education.

Not coincidentally, the name of the Doppelbock that I brew is Defenestrator, "the beer so good, you'll throw yourself out the window."
