Flash Player 9 Beta for Linux

YES! At long last, a beta version of Flash Player 9 has been released for Linux. Read all about it on the Penguin.SWF blog. I've noticed some minor glitches, but the A/V sync and lower CPU usage make it worthwhile so far. I'm going to disable the Flash Block extension in Linux and really see what this thing can do.

NFL Week #6 Final

Whew after a perfect week last week, both Eeyore and I came crashing merrily back to earth. I was 7-6 while she was 6-7. Year-to-date that makes me 57-30 (.655) while she is 63-24 (.724). Hey, my Lions won though. Too bad they will now be without their top d-lineman, Shaun Rogers, for four games because he took a banned supplement. Rah. And for you Cardinal fans out there (both of you), I feel your pain.
