MumboJumbo Buys Ritual

Blue has a press release indicating that MumboJumbo Acquires Ritual Entertainment. A "casual games" company buys a hardcore FPS company. Gack.

A.T. Hun comments: Well, according to this thread MumboJumbo was started by the former CEO and former president of Ritual, so I would imagine that the changes would be minimal.

Update: Blue has more information online, indicating that Ritual will no longer be involved in action-type games (original Gamedaily link), but be part of MJ's casual games concept exclusively. RIP: Ritual.

PS3 Revisited

Ars Technica has a follow-up on their PS3 review, covering the firmware changes, online games, and other tidbits that have been released since the review was first written two months ago. Basically, my practice of letting other people serve as beta-testers has served me well once again. For me, the launch means next to nothing. Whatever console I might buy, the more important thing is longevity. Only time will tell who will win that battle.
