Chromosome Pictures

Slashdot put up a link to the DNA Rainbow website. This site contains images based upon color-coding the human genome, and rendering images for each chromosome. The scientists who came up with this idea may have stumbled upon something more profound than even they expected.

Bleh

After rebuilding my PC, adding a new video card (Asylum 7600 GS 512mb), and changing the PCI timing to 32, I can finally play Half-Life 2: Episode 1. A note for VIA Mobo buyers: don't go near Sound Blaster sound cards with VIA. I think there's bad mojo there.

A.T. Hun comments: It is my personal opinion that you should avoid VIA motherboards entirely. The Sound Blaster issue has been there forever, amongst other problems. I even got a VIA USB 2.0 card which was kind enough to cause my system to lock up randomly. A quick review of several USB-related forums showed that I was by no means alone.

I'm sick and tired of jumping puzzles, and the glass floors are a terminal PITA, but overall it's been a good game. I'm looking forward to playing through SiN Episodes again as well, since I had the same sound stuttering problems there as well.
