NVIDIA 0.9-6 and Shogo Demo

Naturally, the new NVIDIA Linux drivers would come out while I was away at a conference. Anyway, I downloaded and installed them and fired up Hyperion's Shogo demo for Linux. It works now! Sweet! Of course, my hand is still going to have to heal for a few weeks before I can really get back to gaming, but it's nice to know that NVIDIA finally squashed that bug that was causing so much trouble on TNTs and TNT2s.

Bleh

I just finished playing through American McGee's Alice, and this is a fantastic game. Wonderful graphics, excellent gameplay, engrossing plot. Good stuff. The ending was a bit less than I could wish for, but I still think it was great. Course, the ending of ANY game tops the end of Half Life :-) Heck, solitare's ending is better than that.

New NVIDIA Linux drivers released

There are new version 0.9-6 Linux video drivers available for NVIDIA graphics cards. The readme and FAQ for this version is also available and has more detail on the download.

Updated UT render DLLs

The Unreal Technology Page has a set of new rendering .DLLs available for download-these are supposed to improve framerates through additions of new features, and the porting of the DirectX module to DX8. The OpenGL renderer has also been updated to be in line with the DX version.
