Lazy Day Update

Since it's such a slow news day, why don't you head over to Wraith's Riot Project: Arena website for the latest news on his Shogo-esque mod for Quake III Arena? Cool stuff.

CD of the day: Steve Vai "Passion and Warfare". My favorite track is "Sisters". The only problem is that every time I listen to this CD I want to burn my guitar. I could practice for a billion years and never play like that.

NOLF Beta Patch

The No One Lives Forever team updated their collective .plan with a plea for assistance. If you are comfortable trying a beta patch, they are asking for help in stamping out the final bugs. Check The NOLF homepage for the details.

Note to the NOLF team: including links in your .plan is A Good Thing.

Dreamcast and NetBSD

File this one under the "it's way cool, but why?" category. Some crezzy hackers managed to get the Dreamcast ethernet adaptor working with NetBSD. They even have a screen dump of someone telnetting to a Dreamcast running NetBSD. Very cool, but I don't know how useful. Thanks Slashdot.

Archon 2001

Some folks have decided to make an updated version of the classic chess-and-battling game Archon. You can get all the details on the Archon 2001 homepage. Oh the many hours I spent playing that game in high school . . . Thanks loonyboi.

Q3:TA FAQ Update

id updated the Quake III: Team Arena FAQ. This latest entry deals with the problem of missing textures. Thanks Blue's News.
