Stop Me If You've Heard This . . .

Guess what kids? ION Storm Dallas is closing! Yep, so says Fat Babies, the site known to be correct at least 50% of the time, give-or-take. This time, however, they add that The Romero is trying to buy back the ION Storm name from Eidos. Thanks Evil Avatar.

For an extra bonus 50 points, which category should we file this under?
  1. They're closing?!? Again?!?
  2. Just die, for Pete's sake!
  3. I stopped caring after the "make you his bitch" ad.
  4. This would make an excellent soap opera. How 'bout As the Hair Turns?
  5. Lemon curry?
  6. If you post something about ION Storm Dallas again, I'm going to shoot out my monitor.

Blue Shift Review

Gamespy has slapped up a review of Blue Shift, Gearbox's latest add-on for Half-Life. Like most of the reviews they say it is decent, but short. Since I don't have OpFor yet, this one is on my list.

Congratulations, Nick!

At last! The hockey writers showed a bit of sanity last night as they finally awarded the Detroit Red Wings' Nicklas Lidstrom the Norris Trophy for best NHL defenseman. Nick has been a runner-up for the past three years. Kudos! Oh, and sign a contract extension while you're at it!

Bring Out Your Dead!

MontyPython.net is reporting that one of my favorite movies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, will be released in some theaters this summer! I must see this movie on the big screen. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Thanks Slashdot for making my summer.

XFree86 4.1.0 Review

The Duke of URL has posted a review of XFree86 4.1.0, the recently released free X windowing system. 4.1.0 seems to give some very nice speed improvements. I may just have to upgrade, once I get all this wireless stuff sorted out. Thanks Slashdot.

Q3A Patch?

Has anybody heard anything about the new Quake III Arena patch that was supposed to be released early next week? Oh, excuse me, that is "early next week" a month ago. Maybe I should stop holding my breath then.

The Master comments: Heh-I think I'm sensing some frustration here?

A.T. Hun comments: Maybe :) Of course, I'd rather have it come out late and work than early and screw up, especially if it will break network compatibility.
