Wolfie Multiplayer Test Friday!

id and Activision have announced that they will be releasing a multiplayer test version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein this Friday! The test will be available on Gamespot and the game's official website. Too cool for words! I only hope my system can handle it. Thanks Blue.

New Mozilla

Today I downloaded the RPMs of the September 8 build for Mozilla. Previously, I was using 0.9.3. The speed-up is noticeable (although it wasn't terribly slow before) and several sites that caused the browser to inexplicably crash work fine. It might be a good time to upgrade. Of course, 0.9.4 is supposed to be released by the end of the week, so the choice is yours. I'm going to download the mail RPM now and see if that works any better.

NFL Week #1 So Far

With the two prime time games for the week left, here's where we stand with our NFL picks. I am 10-3 (what's up with the Vikings?) and Eeyore is 6-7. A couple of those games could have gone either way. There were some great games (Rams at Eagles) and some miserable ones (Lions at Packers, Redskins at Chargers). All told, I'm happy that pro football is back. I just hope my Lions start playing like a pro team.

I checked the news from the end of last season. Overall I was 161-87 (.649) for the 2000 season and Eeyore was 132-101 (.566).
