Mozilla 1.0 RC2 Released -- 9:09 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
The Mozilla team has released version 1.0 Release Candidate 2 of their popular open-source, cross-platform, web-browsing suite. That's a lot of hyphens! The releases page should have download links soon. In the meantime you can get the builds directly from their FTP server. While you are waiting, you can check out the release notes here. Most notably, RC2 contains a fix for the "reading local files" exploit found by GreyMagic software.Mozilla to Release 1.0 RC2 -- 5:04 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
The Mozilla team has announced that, due to the feedback received from release candidate 1, they are going to issue a release candidate 2 instead of jumping right to 1.0. That possibility has been on their roadmap from the beginning. I would assume that we will see RC2 builds soon. The roadmap marks today as the ideal release date.Jedi Knight II Demo Released -- 9:16 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
LucasArts has released the demo of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, developed by Raven. The official site (linked above) is getting hammered right now, but JediKnightII.net has a list of mirrors. The demo weighs in a 66.5M and contains a level not included with the retail game but was seen at E3 last year.Because I'm a LucasArts Insider (don't be too impressed, you just have to sign up for it) I had the opportunity to download the demo last night. It's shorter than the retail levels, but it gives you a good taste of how the game will go. If you are having problems dealing with all the stormtrooper fire at the beginning of the level, remember that the lightsaber will help you out tremendously with that. The last part of the level pits you against a Reborn. The one in the demo seemed much harder to kill then the ones in the game itself. It's well worth the download, even if you already have the game.
UPDATE! Blue lists some additional mirror sites as well.

Hun-Speak: Lindows -- 12:59 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
I've been thinking about Lindows lately. What is it? It is a new Linux distribution geared toward Windows users with the goal of running all Windows software. It sounds great, but is it all it is cracked up to be? Read my latest Hun-Speak column about it. See why I feel Lindows is doomed to fail.Recent Headlines
