Bleh

I know this just proves I am a geek, but I got an email today informing me that I will be receiving my 5-volume set of manuals on the x86-64 architecture from AMD shortly. Now, for someone like me who actually finds the pinouts on CPUs fascinating, this is good news :-)

There's an interesting technical article on Ars Technica reviewing Intel's Hyperthreading technology. For the hardware geeks, this is good stuff.

UT2K3 Installation Issues

The Linux Gamers' FAQ has been updated with entries to help folks who are having trouble getting the full version of Unreal Tournament 2003 to install. Part of the problem is that the installer asks for the "Play Disc," "Disc 1," and "Disc 2" instead of "Disc 1," "Disc 2," and "Disc 3." Another common problem is not having Joliet/Rock Ridge extensions compiled into your kernel. Most distributions have those enabled by default.
