NFL Week #7 -- 9:12 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

The beginning of the World Series can only mean one thing: baseball is almost done for the year. Somebody wake me up when the Tigers finish over .500 again. At this rate, that'll be sometime in 2014. My hockey fantasy league drops the puck tonight. Let's see if my Ice Chiggers can have as much success as my Fightin' Wombats have had in fantasy football so far! In my never-ending quest to put Eeyore in her place, here are my picks for this week's NFL action: Rams, Dolphins, Vikings, Eagles, Titans, Saints, Ravens, Browns, Cowboys, Jets, Bills, Bucs, Seahawks, Chiefs.

Pondering the Imponderable -- 7:10 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Much to my surprise, the starter toner cartridge on my printer is almost dead. The instructions say that it should be good for 1,000 pages at 5% coverage, but the page count hasn't even reached 500 yet. Well, I found out that 5% coverage is equal to double-spaced text with a 12 point font. Most, if not all, of the documents I print have considerably more text than that. At least I know that it's still better than 1/2 as cheap per page as my old ink jet. For now, I'm giving it a couple shakes every page or two and having it print dark to get every last bit of toner out. Hopefully, the full cartridge (3,000 pages) will last me a year and a half or so.
