Carmack Interview

CGW slapped up an interview with id's John Carmack, talking about technology, the DOOM3 engine, and a bit about rocketry. It's not horribly technical so even we plebs can understand it. Thanks Blue's News.

SCO Letter Online

Groklaw posted a copy of the SCO letter sent to some 1500 Linux-using businesses. The letter contains lies, half-truths, and outright libel against the Linux kernel hackers. Groklaw suggests that Linus might have legitimate grounds for a defamation suit. At the very least, we have further proof of the idiotic depths to which Darl and his ilk are willing to stoop to prop up their flimsy excuse for litigation. Thanks Slashdot.

Lions Win!

Is there anything better than living in Wisconsin and having the Packers lose to the Lions on Thanksgiving, to say nothing of potentially knocking them out of the playoffs? It's going to take several weeks to knock the goofy smile off my face.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Most of The Haus staff and I will be spending some quality time with family and friends for Thanksgiving. Go Lions! Enjoy the turkey (and mashed potatoes and gravy, if you're not on the Atkins diet or anything). We've got plenty of things to be thankful for. Remember the One who gave them!

Oh, and if you're brave enough to venture out for the sales tomorrow, make sure to watch out for the women with the pre-sharpened credit cards.
