Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith

Lucasfilm has officially announced that the name for the final Star Wars movie will be Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. The Star Wars website also has information on various DVD releases that will be hitting stores between now and the movie's release. Revenge of the Sith makes sense and is a lot better (IMO) than Send in theAttack of the Clones or Phantom Menace. Thanks Slashdot.

BayStar to Sue SCO

From the "instant karma's going to get you" department, eWeek is reporting that BayStar will sue SCO. SCO had announced that the BayStar stock sale had been completed. BayStar begs to differ. Apparently they don't believe SCO's revenue report. Methinks SCO doesn't want people examining their books too closely. Ahhh, schadenfreude. Thanks Linux Today.

More DOOM3 Videos

Since it's been over eight hours since I last posted something about DOOM3 . . . G4/TechTV has posted a brand new video containing interviews with the id gang and in-game footage. You can snag it from 3D Gamers. Ahh, gotta love the hype machine. Thanks Blue's News.

UT2K4 Rebate Saga Continues

My seemingly never-ending saga to get my Unreal Tournament 2004 rebate continues. Check my original post and a follow-up on the subject. Atari's rebate website has said since the beginning of June that my rebate is in "processing". I'm not sure if they've got alchemists trying to transform my rebate coupon into a check or what. At any rate, I gave their 800 number another jingle today. The operator said that she would "expedite" my rebate so I should get my check within 2-3 weeks. Whenever I hear that, I get the distinct feeling that my chain is being yanked. Maybe I should send them a bill for interest :)

UT2K4 3264 Beta Patch Changelog

BeyondUnreal posted the changelog for the beta 3264 patch for Unreal Tournament 2004. There's quite a list of changes in there. Remember, this is still beta and will likely undergo some changes before the patch is released to the general public.

DOOM3 Interviews

The folks at GameSpot and IGN sat down with id's Todd Hollenshead and Tim Willits to discuss DOOM3 and their plans for their next game which is super-secret-hush-hush right now. Thanks Blue's News.
