RIAA Stoops to New Low

Just when you thought the recording industry had reached rock bottom by suing people at random with little or no evidence, it turns out that the moved the bottom. The RIAA is now accused of pressuring witnesses to perjure themselves to win their case. I hold no love for thieves but this is absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sure how their legal team sleeps at night. Maybe conscience-removal surgery is mandatory. Insert your own lawyer joke here.

China's Moonshot

CNN has posted an article about China's moon shot plans. Good for them. If they can take their entire manned space program from 1-man capsules to an around-the-moon trip in less than 5 years, they deserve a LOT of praise.

Maybe THIS will get NASA back into serious contention in manned space flight.

Courtney Love Does the Math?

I just finished reading a fascinating article: "Courtney Love Does the Math" is a written version of a speech Courtney gave to the Digital Hollywood online entertainment conference on May 16th. While I am not conversant with the figures, and I personally don't care for Courtney, she actually did a fine job summing up the music industry in this day and age.

Pondering the Imponderable

That Alamo Bowl game pretty much sums up what it's like to be a Michigan fan this year. Yeah, the officiating was atrocious, but there's absolutely no reason why Nebraska ever should have gotten back in the game. Michigan pulled this garbage all year. At least their season, as well as the Tigers and Lions, will be over this weekend. Thankfully, the Pistons and Red Wings are leading their respective conferences so we Michigan sports fans won't have to fling ourselves into the closest Great Lake.
