Bleh

K-I've been fighting with a stupid useless software error messagetm from Pegasus mail. Check this junk out:
The SMTP or POP3 host to which you are attempting to connect (smtp-server.new.rr.com) has returned a response which is not valid according to the protocol in use.
That is a useless message. Wanna know why? What that REALLY means is my network settings are not returning my local IP address because the PPP crud in Win9x is taking over the stack FIRST, instead of my network card driver. Microsoft sucks. And so does that error message.

The fix? Start Pegasus mail with the -q command line option in this format: -q . Grrr.
