Roger Wilco Update -- 9:11 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
sCary got an update to the Roger Wilco spyware story yesterday from a Gamespy employee (Gamespy recently bought Roger Wilco, among other properties):Roger Wilco was indeed one of the properties we acquired from HearMe just a month or so ago in our acquisition of Mplayer. We're still in the midst of making plans for the future, but I can assure you that spyware has no place in them. We do not condone spyware and don't plan on including it in any of our software.Dubious comfort. In the meantime, don't download Roger Wilco. Thankfully the copy I have did not have the spyware stuff in it.
