Is Code Free Speech?

A panel of appeals court judges has submitted 11 questions to both sides of the current Hollywood vs. Eric Corley (2600). This could be good or bad news, depending on which side of the law these judges fall on. If they're upholders of the First Amendment, we might see the DMCA take a hit from the court.

Now, while we here at the Haus are not supporters of the whole "free to copy everything I want" movement, the DMCA is a bit too harsh for my tastes. We'll have to watch this one closely and see how it turns out.
