Attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon -- 8:55 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

This morning, there have been apparent terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon. Our thoughts and prayers are with the many families who lost loved ones in these cowardly attacks. I hope that President Bush and the Congress will unleash the full fury of the United States armed forces against those responsible.

The Master comments: Yes-and I hope it's soon, public, and ugly.

J.t.Qbe comments: It may not be soon, but it will be public and it will be well-deserved.

UPDATE by A.T. Hun Most of the major news sites are still getting hammered. I got some information from, of all places, ESPN.com. They include some choice words from President Bush:

Freedom itself was attacked this morning and I assure you freedom will be defended. Make no mistake. The United States will hunt down and pursue those responsible for these cowardly actions.

That's what all terrorism is, pure cowardice. You don't have the guts to confront your enemy face to face so you attack innocents who cannot defend themselves.
