Mouse Gestures in Mozilla

Mozilla has "borrowed" some really nice features that Opera pioneered. The key one is tabbed browsing which is incredibly nice. The other is a project at Optimoz that adds mouse gestures to Mozilla. Mouse gestures allow you to perform various functions (view source, open a new tab, etc.) with a click and moving the mouse. If you are familiar with the PalmOS's graffiti, you should feel right at home. They are a really nice addition. Check them out!

One minor caveat, if you are using Linux, you need to run Mozilla as root to install the gestures. After that, issue the command

chmod -R a+r /usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.0/chrome/mozgest
to give all users permission to use them. This should be fixed in a future release. Obviously this will only be a problem if you have Mozilla set up for multiuser access or installed the RPM version (as I did).
