WineX 2.1 Released -- 11:25 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
TransGaming has released version 2.1 of their WineX fork of WINE, the Windows compatibility layer for Linux. They claim that it can now run Warcraft III out of the box. You will need to subscribe to get pre-packaged binaries (which include methods for dealing with various forms of CD copy protection). Otherwise, you can download and compile the CVS source tree, which I am in the process of doing. I've been using WineX to run Jedi Knight II reasonably nicely in Red Hat 7.3.
