MandrakeSoft Files for Bankruptcy Protection -- 1:17 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Linux distribution maker MandrakeSoft has filed for bankruptcy protection in France, similar to Chapter 11 in the U.S. Thus it is a reorganization rather than a liquidation. Despite this announcement, Mandrake 9.1 is still scheduled for April. Hopefully they have learned to stick to Linux and not any other half-baked schemes that cost them tons of capital.
