Compile Your Own Mozilla!

I've been having some random problems with xft-enabled version of Mozilla that came with Mandrake 9.1. Things just seemed to get weirder. So, following the directions on this site I download the source for Mozilla 1.4 alpha and compiled it on my own. It took a while (around 45 minutes on my Athlon XP 1800+), but the results were definitely worth it. 99% of my problems have disappeared. If this fixes the "random crashing when navigating ESPN.com" problem, we've got ourselves a winner. Try it! It's not that hard--even I can do it!
