The State of Linux Gaming

Dana Olson wrote an article on Linux Hardware about Gaming and Linux in 2003. The article gives a nice summary of games that have been or are now available for Linux users. Unfortunately, he doesn't touch much on open source games like the excellent LBreakout2. Still it is worth checking out, especially of you think that the phrase "Linux gaming" is an oxymoron.

In a related story, Hyperion announced that they will be porting Inca Gold's games to Linux. Seems like I might need to email my Hyperion contact about this. Thanks Slashdot for both links.

Yes, I updated whilst on vacation. Yes, I rock. :)

J.t.Qbe comments: The article also left out the excellent shareware RPG Exile III. Keep your eyes peeled, kids: I'm working on a review (finally).
