Pondering the Imponderable

I just took apart my computer for its semi-annual cleaning. Our house is like a dust factory, so the innards of my computer end up vaguely gray. It's a good thing I did it too. I could not swear under oath that the Blue Orb cooler on my GeForce 3 was, in fact, blue. I'm going to have to look into some kind of filter or something.

The Master comments: There's no helping it. Filters just limit the amount of air that can be pulled into the case, so that's a good way to burn a PC up. Either make your office into a clean room, run one of those room air-cleaners, or clean that PC regularly. My PC hasn't been on the floor in ages, and it's still disgusting every time I open it. The magic of a closed space and cooling fans :-)

J.t.Qbe comments: The insides of my PCs get pretty disgusting too. In fact, I think that all the dust and lint are responsible for killing the cooling fan on my video card--two have died within the last year.

And now for something completely different: The Matrix without the CGI.

A.T. Hun comments: That's very cool, except I don't think I heard anyone say, "Whoa."
