Judge Forces SCO's Hand

Groklaw is reporting that the judge in the case has given SCO 30 days "to comply 'with specificity' and suspended further discovery". Thus, SCO has 30 days to finally give proof or else. It looks like some resolution is near. It may be time to figure out how to short SCO's stock. Thanks Slashdot.

Oh, I just found out another little interesting tidbit. One of SCO's lawyers just happens to be the brother of CEO Darl McBride. Yay, nepotism!

J.t.Qbe comments: Well, SCO's position was getting a ridiculous--Groklaw reported earlier today that SCO's latest request was for IBM to show the code to prove SCO's case. Uh, yeah. But has SCO's position REALLY been about the alleged infringing code, or about a) making some quick money during its death spiral and b) casting doubt on the viability of Linux (and don't tell me that Microsoft isn't lurking in the shadows on this one). It's about time someone shuts up McBride and his clowns.
