New WordPerfect for Linux Soon

News.com.com.net.org.edu is reporting that Corel will be selling a "proof of concept" version of WordPerfect for Linux at its online store on April 15. I'll will be very interested to see how this turns out. A few months ago, I started transitioning from WordPerfect 8 for Linux to OpenOffice.org 1.1. Before that, I had been a loyal WordPerfect user since about 1990 in the days of WordPerfect 5.x for DOS. If this is truly another native version that doesn't require old libc libraries, I may just snag it . . . as long as they don't want $300 for it. Thanks Slashdot.
