DOOM3 Minimum Specs

The Houston Chronicle (of all places) posted the minumum system specs for people hoping to run DOOM3. The specs come from id CEO Todd Hollenshead. This is quite ironic since The Master and I were just trying to find this very information last night. I'm sure he won't be thrilled with the CPU requirement. Here you go!

The only part of my system that I'm really concerned about is my CPU. I've got an Athlon XP 1800+. At least it's above the minumum. Thanks Blue's News.

The Master comments: Well, you could be me. My system's a P3-1ghz. So, unless I see something stating otherwise somplace, I'm screwed. I can't see shelling out $700 plus to get my base system up to these specs right now. Damn it.

A.T. Hun comments: I just had a flashback to when I was in college (about 15 years ago). I wondered why in the world my cousin would want "all the power" of an 80286 when a standard 8088 would do just fine. Of course not long after that I bought an 80386SX, so there you go.
