End of an Era

Well, I just called PC Magazine and told them not to have my subscription automatically renew. I'm not sure how long I've been subscribing, but it's been since the late 80s. Since I switched to Linux, most of their content no longer applies to me. The stuff that was still useful, like reviews or Dvorak's column, are on the web for free. My computing publication needs are now being met by Computer Power User (CPU) magazine. It's the best magazine I've found for the hardcore geek (and I mean that in a good way). They have a monthly column and feature devoted to open source in general and Linux in particular.
