UT2K4 3355 Patch Released -- 4:30 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Epic has released the 3355 patch for Unreal Tournament 2004. Here's a list of the changes:
- Fixed stuttering/snagging/sinking into static meshes in some places on clients in net games
- Improved getting out of water
- Fixed FaceClassic teleporter exploit
- The Cicada hud indicators should now show up in all game modes.
- Fixed SPMA causing damage at world origin.
- Fixed not being able to exit Raptor when it's on the ground
- Fixed (for assault) the energy core always showing on the HUD even if it not the current objective (thanks AngelMapper)
There are also some Mac and Linux-specific changes:
- Mac version no longer requires the DVD to be in the drive to play (but you still need a valid CD key).
- UTV is now supported on Linux and Mac
- Bits of the editor package (NOT UnrealEd!) are now included on Linux and MacOS, which improves mod compatibility.
- Linux/amd64 version framerate shouldn't suck like it did in 3339 anymore.
If you want the Editor's Choice Edition (ECE) content, make sure it is installed before you install this patch. The Mac patch includes the ECE content. You can download the Windows version from 3D Gamers (13M) and the Linux version (19.7M) directly from icculus.org. The Mac version is also available at icculus.org.
