Pondering the Imponderable

I know this isn't standard Haus fare, but hey. Disney is releasing season one of the Muppet Show on DVD today. I enjoyed that show quite a bit back in my younger days. I've a feeling my kids will like it too. Wal-Mart (no affiliation) and others have screaming deals on it. The set includes a video made to pitch the show to CBS execs and one of the two pilot episodes. Previously the show has been available piecemeal. According to one source, Disney was so happy with the pre-orders that they plan on releasing the remaining four seasons the same way.

The Master comments: I remember watching that show all the time. Animal just made me laugh like mad. Go figure :-)

J.t.Qbe comments: Oh yeah, we watched that show every Saturday night. It was good stuff. My wife has just picked up the DVD with the Mark Hamill episode on ebay.

Also released today is Kung Fu Hustle, my pick for movie of the year. Ok, it's the only movie I've seen this year, and the only one I'm likely to see. It's a great action/kung-fu movie with great effects and surprises. If you have any interest in action and/or kung-fu movies, you've probably already seen it--if not, you should.
