Bleh

I've naturally been watching the C.F. that is New Orleans on the news for the past several days. I'd comment, but honestly things are so screwed up down there that you just throw up your hands in amazement that there's anyone left to save. Hopefully things will get positive for a change soon.

A.T. Hun comments: I'll just say this--I'm so glad (not) to see that politicians on every level are doing what they do best: grandstanding.

On more mundane stuff: Eeyore decided she wanted to build a database of our DVD collection, since we need a way to track what has been loaned out and where everything is. I found MovieTrack, a Windows application that does everything she needs. It's a straightforward database, with the essential tools for finding, categorizing and tracking your DVD collection. Pretty sweet. There are a bunch of PHP-based tools for Apache on a web server as well, but most of them are either extremely complicated, or have special server requirements, or are too simple for her needs. I'd love to get a personal server setup here sometime so I could play with these things myself.
