Bitboys Oy Is No More

It is with a tear in my eye that I announce that Bitboys Oy has been bought out by ATI. Bitboys Oy is the reigning king of hardware press releases and vaporware. Despite never actually producing any hardware, ATI bought them out for a cool €35.2 million. Some of that amount is contingent on certain unstated goals being reached. It seems that the main thing that ATI gets out of this is a partnership with Nokia for the cellphone market. RIP Bitboys.

For kicks, you can check out our news stories referring to Bitboys over the years, going back to 1999. The astute reader will note that most of those blurbs involve sarcasm in one way or another.
