iTunes 7 on Windows--Just Don't

I downloaded the new version 7 of iTunes on Friday, and tried it out yesterday evening. Don't download this software if you're using windows. It cannot accept any additional "real" load on your CPU when playing music. I like to listen to iTunes while playing Master of Orion 2, and 6.0.5 worked fine. 7 just starts crackling and skipping and dropping sections of music and just plain sucks. The downgrade to go back is also very painful. I'd wait on a couple of revisions before I'd touch that POS again.

Update! It looks like downgrading doesn't help either. Now iTunes 6.0.5 just crashes on startup with a GPF after I rebooted my machine. I'm not pleased with this revision of iTunes at all.
