Burnout: Paradise City Demo

I eagerly (albeit slowly, PSN was getting hammered) downloaded the PS3 demo for Burnout: Paradise City yesterday. My initial reaction wasn't particularly positive for some reason. I'm not sold right now on Stunt mode replacing Crash mode. The big difference was that there is no menu. None. You are dropped in a car and can drive wherever you want. The various events are at the different intersections. That takes a bit of getting used to, more than I thought it would. It's definitely growing on my. Another thing that bugged me was that they block off roads that aren't included in the demo. You think you should be able to keep driving, but then you plow headfirst into a cement abutment. Now that I've played it a couple of times, I'm getting used to the new concepts. I'm sure I'll miss Crash mode and Crashbreakers in general, but I think the openness of Paradise City will make up for it. I'd also probably be happier if a Road Rage was included in the demo. That's my favorite Burnout mode.
