More Napster Silliness -- 9:50 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Aimster came up with a Pig Latin encoder for MP3s to circumvent the filtering on Napster. They claim that if the RIAA tried to reverse it, they would be guilty of reverse engineering under the DMCA. Not sure if it would hold up in court, but it certainly is funny to think about. Also some Canadian is planning on setting up a Napster clone on a sovereign island off England. I think that the RIAA will live to regret not making a deal with Napster when they had a chance. Their victory will turn out to be pyrrhic. Thanks Slashdot for both links.
